What Is E-Commerce?

Ecommerce (or e-commerce) is the art and science of selling products and/or services over the Internet. E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. In practice, this term and a newer term, e-business, are often used interchangably. For online retail selling, the term e-tailing is sometimes used.

Electronic Commerce (EC) is the paperless exchange of business information using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and related technologies.
